Jackie Greene stole the show when he stepped out with a guitar and sang The Nile Song.

We've traveled from KC several times since 2010 to see the always amazing GOV'T MULE tear it up in Des Moines. Fun time along the riverway area, great venue at Brenton Skating Plaza. One year they even played ON THE BRIDGE?!? Other than the sound system blowing up/melting down due to distorted Bass, the show was spot on! Loved every minute!!!

The sound was terrible at the Beacon last night. I've never seen so much of the stage hands during a concert dropping paper. Couldn't hear any of the words except Fire on the Mountain. Terrible.

I love both bands. The sound was poorly done. During trombone shorty set , solos were missed as the instruments was not turned up until half the solo was done. Repeatedly, like one mess up didn't clue them in.

The Government Mule concert was a huge disappointment. The musicians are top notch, there’s no question about that. But, whoever was manning the sound system had no clue what they were doing. The bass and drums were horrifically loud; so much so that the speakers were rattling and clunking. The keyboard and guitar were simply over powered. Forget even understanding the vocals. I was so angry but I couldn’t go to the sound control board and just takeover. I could have balanced the sound better and made this a very enjoyable show. Good money was spent on tickets for a bad sound.
